Consul-General Kobayashi visited Deputy Governor Henry on June 6th

 Consul-General Kobayashi visited Mr. Jim Henry, Deputy to the Governor, on June 6th at the Tennessee State Capitol.
 During their meeting, Consul-General Kobayashi asked Deputy Governor Henry for his energetic cooperation in order to further enhance the relationship between Japan and Tennessee. This cooperation includes support for Japanese residents and Japanese companies, as well as for events organized by the consulate to grow the Japan-Tennessee community. Deputy Governor Henry welcomed Consul-General Kobayashi and said that he will do his best for the bilateral relationship. 
 After this one-on-one exchange, Deputy Governor Henry invited other prominent members of Governor Haslam’s Cabinet and state Constitutional Officers to meet the Consul-General. Finance & Administration Commissioner Larry B. Martin, Chief Operating Officer Greg Adams, Chief of Staff Stephan Smith, General Counsel Dwight Tarwater, Secretary of State Tre Hargett, and Comptroller Justin P. Wilson kindly came together to welcome Consul-General Kobayashi to his post. Emphasizing the fact that 190 Japanese companies have created 50,000 jobs in Tennessee, Consul-General Kobayashi asked them for further cooperation with Japan. They expressed their readiness to work with him.
