The Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville is seeking an individual for the position of Secretary to the Consul-General of Japan. - Working Conditions:
- Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:15 PM (with one-hour lunch break), Monday to Friday (except holidays).
- Holidays: US federal and some Japanese national holidays, and annual paid leave.
- Benefits: Medical Insurance (80% premium paid by employer) Dental Insurance (80% premium paid by employer)
- Responsibilities:
- Managing the Consul-General’s schedule
- English and Japanese document drafting and editing
- Facilitating communication between local and senior staff members
- Assisting security officer with administrative tasks
- Other administrative duties as deemed necessary
- Qualifications:
- Candidates must be US citizen or Green Card holder
- A high level of proficiency in both Japanese and English is required
- Proficiency in basic computer programs such as MS Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Excel
- Candidates should be highly-motivated and team-oriented individual with strong communication skills
- (Note) No experience necessary, but some prior experience with secretarial or administrative experience preferred
