杵渕総領事のディーン・ナッシュビル市長への着任挨拶（５月６日） 　　

Consul-General Kinefuchi visits Mayor Dean, Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (May 6)

　５月６日（水）、杵渕総領事はカール・フォスター・ディーン・ナッシュビル市長を表敬し、着任の挨拶を行いました。
　杵渕総領事は、日・ナッシュビル市の良好な関係を更に発展させるべく、貴市長と緊密な関係を強化してまいりたい、また、桜祭りの貴市長・市役所のご支援、鎌倉市とのパートナーシティ提携への尽力、東日本大震災時の温かいご支援と励ましに感謝する旨述べました。
　ディーン市長からは、当地に日本総領事館が開館していることをとても誇りに思っている、今後も日・ナッシュビル市の協力関係を維持していきたい、また、二国間には特別な堅い絆があり、震災被災者へ心からお見舞い申し上げる旨述べました。

Consul-General Kinefuchi visited Nashville Mayor Dean on May 6th.
In his remarks, Consul-General spoke that he would like to strengthen a relationship with Mayor Dean in order to further develop the good partnership between Japan and Nashville. Also Consul-General expressed his gratitude for the city’s support of the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival, the Kamakura partnership-city affiliation, and the encouragement for victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Mayor Dean welcomed Consul-General Kinefuchi and repeatedly mentioned that he was honored to have the Consul-General of Japan in Nashville. The mayor also noted that there is special bond between our two countries and he is looking forward to working with Consul-General Kinefuchi and the Japanese Consulate in the future.
