Consul-General Kinefuchi visits Kentucky Governor Bevin (January 29)

On January 29th, Consul- General and Mrs. Kinefuchi attended the Japan-America Society of Kentucky’s New Year Party, hosted by Governor and First Lady Bevin. Approximately 130 of Japanese company representatives were invited.
The Consul-General stated that he was honored for Japan to be part of the first event hosted at the Kentucky Governor’s Mansion since Governor Bevin took office. Consul General Kinefuchi looks forward to working with Governor Bevin to further strengthen ties between Japan and Kentucky.
In return, Governor Bevin noted how important Kentucky’s relationship with Japan is to the Commonwealth, and that he has long been a fan of Japan, since before his study abroad days in Japan. He offered to do anything to help strengthen the relationship and asked Kentucky’s Japanese friends to please feel free to ask.
