School Visits Program

The Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville has an exciting educational outreach program offered at no cost.

The objective of this program is to foster an awareness of Japan by bringing information and materials about Japan into classrooms. We are happy to send bilingual members of our staff to schools in the Nashville area to give presentations about Japan.

We are generally able to accept requests from schools within a 60 miles of our office in Nashville. If you are outside of the Nashville area, we may be able to accomodate your visit request or hold a virtual presentation.

A typical visit to your class may include an overview of Japan and its culture or a demonstration and workshop of origami or calligraphy.

School visits may also be performed virtually or via recording.

To download a copy of the request form, please click here. (If you are not able to view the request form, a free version of Adobe Reader can be downloaded here.) The completed form should be emailed to the Cultural Programs Coordinator at info@nv.mofa.go.jp
