Consul-General Kobayashi visited Japan-America Society of America, Inc. (JAST) Board Chair Scannapieco (June 19th)

On June 19th, Consul-General Kobayashi paid a courtesy visit to Mr. John Scannapieco, Shareholder of Baker, Caldwell, Bearman & Berkowitz and Board Chair of the Japan-America Society of America, Inc. (JAST).
At a meeting also attended by Ms. Leigh Wieland, CEO of JAST, Consul-General Kobayashi expressed his appreciation for the activities of JAST, which include supporting approximately 190 Japanese companies in Tennessee and grassroots outreach efforts through Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival and Memphis Japan Festival. Recognizing the important role played by JAST to further strengthen the bilateral relationship, they also exchanged ideas about new roles that JAST could assume to reinforce the partnership and agreed to continue to work closely together for that goal.
