Consul-General Kobayashi visited Governor Hutchinson on September 26th
Consul-General Kobayashi visited Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson on September 26th. During their lunch meeting, Consul-General Kobayashi was accompanied by Ms. Mary Zunick of Hot Springs, who he explained had been appointed Honorary Consul of Japan in January 2018. He asked Governor Hutchinson for his continued cooperation to further enhance Japan-Arkansas relations, including support for Japanese residents, Japanese companies, and cultural events. Governor Hutchinson welcomed Consul-General Kobayashi and said that he remains committed to doing his best for the bilateral relationship, expressing his recognition that Japanese companies play an important role among foreign investors in Arkansas. On this occasion, they also exchanged their views on trade issues and potential repercussions upon the Arkansas economy.
