Consul-General Fukushima visited Nashville Mayor Cooper on February 4th


Consul-General Fukushima visited Nashville Mayor John Cooper on February 4th, 2020.

 During their meeting, Consul-General Fukushima asked Mayor Cooper for his continued cooperation in further enhancing the relationship between Japan and Nashville. This cooperation has traditionally included support for Japanese people residing in Nashville, Japanese companies operating there, and events organized by the consulate to grow the Japan-Nashville community. Mayor Cooper welcomed Consul-General Fukushima and said that he remains committed to doing his best for the bilateral relationship, emphasizing the importance of Japan in Nashville. Consul-General Fukushima and Mayor Cooper also discussed cooperation in the upcoming Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival on April 4th, 2020.
