Consul-General Fukushima visited Governor Beshear and Economic Development Secretary Hayes on January 31st

Consul-General Fukushima visited Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear on January 31st.
During their meeting, Consul-General Fukushima asked Governor Beshear for his continued cooperation in further enhancing the relationship between Japan and Kentucky. This cooperation includes support for Japanese people residing in Kentucky and Japanese companies operating in the state, as well as support for cultural events coordinated by the consulate to grow the Japan-Kentucky community. Governor Beshear welcomed Consul-General Fukushima and said that Japan remains a very important partner for Kentucky; he pledged cooperation to strengthen bilateral relations. First Lady Britainy Beshear and Mr. Larry Hayes, Interim Secretary of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, also joined the meeting.
