On July 7, Consul-General Yoichi Matsumoto attended the 40th anniversary celebration of the sister-city relationship between Tsuru city in Yamanashi Prefecture and Hendersonville, TN. The Tsuru-Hendersonville relationship is Tennessee’s longest sister-city relationship with a city in Japan. The event was livestreamed on the Tsuru-Hendersonville Friendship Committee Facebook page and featured presentations from both Tsuru and Hendersonville representatives. Consul-General Matsumoto expressed his gratitude to those who have supported the sister city exchange over the years in his remarks.
