On April 4, Consul-General Watanabe visited Aisin Automotive Casting Tennessee, Inc. (AACT) in Clinton, Tennessee. He was briefed about the company's background and business overview and then toured the production process.

AACT was established in 2004 and began operations in 2005. This year marks the 20th anniversary of its operations. The company supplies major products, engine parts (engine front modules, water pumps, oil pumps, pistons, etc.), to Toyota, GM, Nissan, and other companies.

AACT is committed to giving back to the community in various ways, including hosting visits from local middle school students and teachers as a part of a STEM program; supporting “Dream it. Do it.”, an initiative to deepen students' understanding of manufacturing; and sponsoring Knox Asian Festival which takes place every summer in Knoxville.
