Meeting with Japanese nationals and Japanese Americans in Kentucky

On August 22, Consul General Watanabe, together with Ambassador Yamada, visited Lexington, Kentucky, and held a discussion with Japanese nationals and Japanese Americans of various generations who live and work in the state. The exchange offered a valuable opportunity to deepen mutual understanding of the everyday challenges they face, as well as the underlying institutional and societal factors. Consul General Watanabe expressed his determination to further strengthen cooperation with the Japanese nationals and Japanese Americans in Kentucky to enhance economic ties between Japan and Kentucky as well as to promote people-to-people exchanges.
