Consul-General Watanabe participates in NAJAS annual conference

On August 22, 2025, Consul General Watanabe, together with Ambassador Yamada, attended the annual general meeting of the National Association of Japan-America Societies (NAJAS) held at the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center in Lexington, Kentucky. This annual meeting brought together leadership, staff and board members from Japan-America & Japan Societies (JAS/JS) across the United States. In addition to activity reports and workshops, a panel discussion featuring experts on U.S.-Japan relations was held.
As a part of the NAJAS annual meeting, speeches were delivered by U.S. Representative Andy Barr, as well as Kentucky State Representative Vanessa Grossl and State Senator Matt Nunn regarding the establishment of the “Kentucky-Japan Caucus,” among other topics discussed.
