On Friday, August 14, Consul-General Watanabe delivered keynote remarks entitled “Japan–Tennessee Relations from the Perspective of the Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville” at the Nashville Site Forum of the 78th Japan-America Student Conference.

The forum was organized by Japanese and American students visiting Nashville as part of the 78th Japan-America Student Conference being conducted in the United States. In the keynote address of the morning session, Consul-General Watanabe used visual aids to explain the Japan-Tennessee relationship to the students who will shape the future of Japan–U.S. relations. The Japan-Tennessee relationship is one of the foundations supporting Japan–U.S. exchange, including particularly strong ties through business and vibrant grassroots exchanges.

We hope that the friendly relations between Japan and the United States, woven over decades, will be passed on to the next generation and continue to develop.
