On August 28, Consul-General Watanabe attended the luncheon of “World Trade Day 2026: Kentucky Global Business Summit” held in Louisville, Kentucky.
Following a keynote address by President Lauren of the American University of Sharjah, Secretary Jeff Noel of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development presented the Martha Layne Collins Award to Mr. Jiro Hashimoto, former Representative of the Kentucky State Government Japan Office.
