The Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival 2025 was held on Saturday, April 12 at Public Square Park in Nashville. The Cherry Blossom Festival kicked off with the “Cherry Blossom Walk” in which Nashville residents strolled around the city. Consul-General Watanabe joined Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell in the Cherry Blossom Walk and also delivered remarks at the opening ceremony. The Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival showcased various aspects of Japanese culture. Visitors to the Japanese Consulate's tent had the opportunity to try on yukata dressing, calligraphy and various workshops on Japan were also held, including kanji, rakugo, tea ceremony, and puppet shows.
The Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville hopes that the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival will contribute to the friendship between Tennessee and Japan, and between Japan and the United States. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all those who worked so hard to make this event possible and to the many people who attended. We look forward to seeing you again next year at the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival.
