Consul-General Matsumoto Participates in Nashville Chamber ED Council Event

On September 26, Consul-General Matsumoto joined the Economic Development Council event for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Partnership 2030 (P2030) initiative. The event was held at the Adventure Science Center and nearly 125 individuals attended the discussion.  

P2030 is the Nashville region’s public-private strategy dedicated to Middle Tennessee’s long-term economic prosperity. The event focused on the importance of Nashville-Japan connection to the Middle Tennessee economy with over forty years of strategic growth.  

In his opening remarks, Consul-General Matsumoto noted that Japan and Tennessee have a long history of partnership and that Japan-Tennessee cooperation will continue to grow. Panelists from Japanese-affiliated companies NTT Data Americas, Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc., Bridgestone Americas, Inc. and Nissan North America shared about their operations in Tennessee, their experience in the region and their contributions to the economy.    

The Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville will continue to participate in various events and activities to support Japanese companies in the region.
