Join the Consulate-General of Japan at a film screening of Persona Non Grata: The Story of Chiune Sugihara at the Belcourt Theater on March 19, 2019.

Chiune Sugihara, a Japanese diplomat working in Lithuania during the second World War, put his career and his family's lives at stake to secure the safety of Jews fleeing Nazi occupation.

This film is in English and Japanese with English subtitles.

Consul-General Hiroyuki Kobayashi and other speakers will open the screening with a brief discussion.
