2026 Spring Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals

On April 29th, the Government of Japan announced the 2026 Spring Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals for their outstanding contributions in their respective fields. The Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville therefore wishes it to be known that among the recipients announced this spring, one is within its jurisdiction. The details of the recipient are as follows:

Former Chair of the Board, Japan-America Society of Tennessee
Mr. Ralph J. Schulz, Jr. has been awarded “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette” for his contributions to promoting friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and the United States.
