On March 26, the Consulate-General of Japan co-hosted a business seminar for Japanese businesspeople within the Consulate’s five-state jurisdiction with Mizuho Bank.
After opening remarks by Consul-General Watanabe, two speakers from Mizuho Bank gave presentations on "The Impact of the New Trump Administration on the North American Auto Industry” and “The Trump MAGA Empire Strikes Back: Impact on Financial Markets and Investment in the U.S." Participants commented how informative the seminar was because it systematically summarized a lot of information, and discussed important topics not regularly covered by news outlets. Many rated the seminar as highly satisfactory in the post-event survey.
A reception following the presentations gave attendees an opportunity to deepen exchanges among the lecturers and Japanese company representatives.
