United Nations Association of Nashville-Cordell Hull Chapter "United Nations Day" Event

On October 14, the United Nations Association Nashville-Cordell Hull Chapter hosted a panel discussion on grassroots exchange between Japan and Tennessee. The Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville's Tye Ebel, JET Program Coordinator, moderated the discussion. Consul -General Matsumoto appeared via video message, thanking the United Nations Association for its support of the United Nations, commenting on Japan’s current role on the UN Security Council and noting the strong relationship between the United States and Japan and Tennessee. Panelists included Victoria Mohr, Lebanon High School teacher (Kakehashi Project participant), Asami Nakano, Vanderbilt University lecturer (former JOI coordinator), Mina Johnson, Nashville Sister Cities Association President (former Nashville City Council member), Victoria Clark (Tennessee State University, recently returned from study abroad in Japan). The panel discussed grassroots exchanges between Japan and Tennessee.
