Meeting with Mayor Freddie O'Connell of Nashville

On October 14, Consul-General Shinji WATANABE met with Mayor Freddie O'Connell of Nashville, his wife, and Mina Johnson, President of Sister Cities of Nashville. Mayor O'Connell and his wife are scheduled to visit Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, which has a Partnership City Agreement with Nashville. The visit will take place this month with a delegation of about 30 people from Nashville. During the meeting, Consul-General Watanabe and Mayor O’Connell exchanged opinions on various topics including the schedule of the Japan visit and Japanese cultural events in Nashville.
