On Thursday, September 26, the Knox Asian Festival won the best festival award at the Purple Iris Awards Dinner hosted by the Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association. The Knox Asian Festival started small in 2014 with 3,000 attendees. In 2023, the festival grew to 75,000 visitors after 10 years. The Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville has supported the festival from the very beginning and has been a co-host of the event since 2015. We would like to thank the Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association, the festival organizers, and all of the people who help make the event possible.
