Cheekwood Moon Viewing Festival 2023

On Sunday, September 24, the Cheekwood Moon Viewing Festival 2023 was held at the Cheekwood Botanical Garden, co-hosted by the Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville and Cheekwood Estate & Garden. The Moon Viewing Festival featured a variety of Japanese cultural activities, including traditional tea ceremony, mochi pounding, calligraphy, kamishibai (picture-story shows), a kimono fashion show, a shamisen performance, and a dance performance by Lily Saito of the Nashville Ballet. A tour of the Shomuen Japanese Garden in Cheekwood was also held. Blessed with beautiful weather, participants were able to fully enjoy Japanese culture and the splendor of the Cheekwood Botanical Gardens.
