Nissan Trading Americas’ 40 Year Anniversary Celebration

On September 9, Consul-General Watanabe attended the 40 Year Anniversary Celebration of Nissan Trading Americas in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The celebration was attended by about 80 people, including Mayor Mary Reed of Smyrna, as well as executives, employees, and partners of Nissan Trading Americas.
Mayor Reed presented representatives of Nissan Trading Americas with a proclamation and plaque commemorating the 40th anniversary. Consul-General Watanabe noted in his speech that Nissan Trading Americas currently has approximately 500 business partners in Tennessee and beyond, and that Japan’s strong economic relationship with the U.S./Tennessee region has been strengthened by Japanese companies such as Nissan Trading Americas, which has a long history of trust with customers and business partners in both countries. He expressed appreciation and respect for everyone’s tireless efforts.
The Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville will continue to participate in various events and activities to support Japanese companies in the region.
