Consul-General Watanabe Visits University of Tennessee Knoxville Chancellor Donde Plowman

On August 22, Consul-General Watanabe visited The University of Tennessee Knoxville (UTK) and paid a courtesy call on Chancellor Donde Plowman. During the meeting, Chancellor Plowman and Consul- General Watanabe exchanged views on current issues at UTK and the progress of joint research and partnerships with Japanese companies and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. UTK is one of the largest universities in the state with approximately 36,000 students.
