ナンゲッサー・ルイジアナ州副知事への表敬（5月31日）

 
　5月31日，杵渕総領事は，ルイジアナ州副知事室にて，ナンゲッサー・ルイジアナ州副知事（文化・娯楽・観光長官を兼任）を表敬しました。
　ナンゲッサー副知事は，ルイジアナ州と日本は，甚大な被害をもたらした自然災害から回復を遂げつつ，風評被害対策という重要な課題に取り組む等，共通する経験を有する旨延べ，杵渕総領事と文化・観光促進の観点から意見交換を行いました。
　また，杵渕総領事は，東日本大震災後のルイジアナ州を含む米国の人々からの様々な支援に改めて謝意を述べるとともに、被災地域の復興の現状を説明しました。
 
　On May 31^st, Consul-General Kinefuchi met with Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser at the Lieutenant Governor’s Office in Baton Rouge. 
 
　Lieutenant Governor Nungesser noted that the State of Louisiana and Japan share the painful experience of having suffered from natural disasters that caused severe devastation and working to recover from that damage. Louisiana and Japan both also continue to implement measures to address negative perceptions resulting from those disasters. Consul-General Kinefuchi and Lieutenant Governor Nungesser exchanged information and best practices from the perspective　of cultural and tourism promotion.  
 
　The Consul-General also expressed Japan’s deep gratitude for the assistance and friendship extended and demonstrated by the people of United States, including Louisiana, after the earthquake that hit the Tohoku region in 2011. He discussed the recovery status with Lieutenant Nungesser.
