Consul-General Fukushima visited Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland on February 26th, 2020.
During their meeting, Consul-General Fukushima asked Mayor Strickland for his continued cooperation in enhancing the important relationship between Japan and Memphis, including cultural exchanges and support of Japanese residents in Memphis. Mayor Strickland welcomed Consul-General Fukushima, discussed aspects of Japan’s contributions to Memphis, and then expressed his own commitment to continuing to build upon the vibrant partnership that Japan and Memphis now enjoy.
