Join the Nashville Film Festival and the Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville for a free virtual screening of Persona non Grata, a film celebrating the life of Chiune Sugihara, a Japanese diplomat who went against orders to save thousands of Jews on the eve of World War II.
Before the screening, enjoy talks from Mrs. Evelyn Koch, speaking on her grandmother’s direct experience with Chiune Sugihara, and Dr. Shaul Kelner, expanding on the historical context of Jews in Lithuania in 1939.
