On Sunday, September 19th, Cheekwood Moon Viewing Festival 2021 took place at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens co-hosted by Cheekwood and the Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville. Although heavy rain prevented guests from viewing the moon during the event, participants were still able to enjoy experiencing Japanese culture through various performances and demonstrations including tea ceremony, mochi pounding, calligraphy, koto, kimono fashion show, kamishibai storytelling, and more. We wish to express our whole hearted gratitude to all the guests who braved the weather to attend and we also would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped us realizing this event.
