Consul-General Fukushima visits Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences

On October 28th, Consul General FUKUSHIMA Kayoko visited the Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences (CSAS), which is one of the few K-12 public schools in the state. This year, CSAS was selected as a recipient of Japan related book donation through READ JAPAN PROJECT: Books for Understanding Japan by The Japan Science Society. CSAS has been doing students exchange program with schools in Tono, Iwate prefecture, sister city of Chattanooga in Japan since the 1990s. CSAS has a Japan Corner in a school hallway where collections of Tono related things are exhibited.
