On November 5th, the Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville and Smith Gambrell Russell (SGR) LLP jointly held an online business seminar focused on the "Trends and Prospects for ESG and De-Carbonization in the United States," for the intended target audience of Japanese company representatives in the United States.
After Consul-General Fukushima offered opening remarks, SGR Partner Kiyo Kojima (Attorney) made a presentation highlighting the importance of ESG (Environment, Society and Governance) strategies to the success of de-carbonization efforts. The presentation also explored trends in the U.S. market impacting de-carbonization such as regulations, tax credits and shifts in supply chain.
It was a meaningful and informative seminar, attracting about 95 participants.
