Japanese New Year Celebration 2022

On Sunday, January 9th, the Japanese New Year Celebration took place at East Tennessee History Center hosted by the Asian Culture Center of Tennessee and the Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville with COVID-19 transmission and protective measures in mind. Participants enjoyed experiencing Japanese culture through various performances and demonstrations including mochi pounding, calligraphy, koto, New Year card making, kendo, Tea Ceremony, Kendama and more.
