The Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented individual for the position of Political Assistant. 1  Position:
Political Assistant
2  Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis about U.S. Political Affairs, mainly focusing on the states of Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
  • Present results of research, as requested, in a clear and concise format.
  • Other responsibilities as required, including jobs related to front office reception.
3  Qualification
  • Must be US citizen or Green Card holder
  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills are imperative
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel.
4  Desirable qualifications and experience
  • Degree in one of the following areas: Law, Politics, International Relations, or a related field
  • Specialist knowledge in the political affairs of this jurisdiction and/or work experience in research and analysis
