Consul-General Matsumoto visited the exhibition “Global Asias” Community Day event held in Knoxville Museum of Art on March 19^th. This event featured workshops and performances by members of Knoxville’s Asian community to demonstrate the Asian Culture including Japan. Various traditional culture including Japanese tea ceremony, kendo, nankin tamasudare (street performance in which the performer transforms a specially made bamboo screen into various shapes while chanting an accompanying poem) were performed.
