Knoxville Asian Festival 2022
On Sunday, August 28, the 2022 Knoxville Asian Festival was hosted by the Asian Culture Center of Tennessee, Knoxville City, Knox County, and our Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville. The day was filled with many traditional and contemporary cultural events and activities from 13 Asian countries and regions. The festival started with the morning Country Parade where participants in their national costumes walked along the World’s Fair Park. Deputy Consul-General Masahiko Mitsumoto made remarks representing the Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville. Our office operated a booth with lectures and tastings of sake and Japanese Green Tea (Sayama Tea). We appreciate the festival's contribution to the Japan-Tennessee and Japan-U.S. relationships. We look forward to co-organizing the festival again in the years to come.
