On Sunday October 9, Cheekwood Moon Viewing Festival 2022 took place at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens co-hosted by Cheekwood and the Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville. The event presented Japanese cultural performances to attendees including tea ceremony, mochi pounding, calligraphy, koto performance, shamisen performance, Japanese drum performance, kamishibai (story telling), and a wagyu (Japanese beef) and sake demonstration. There were bilingual tours of the Japanese garden “Shomuen” at Cheekwood. The beautiful weather allowed the moon to shine brightly on the event. We wish to express our whole hearted gratitude to all the guests who attended and we also would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped us in organizing this event.
