Consul-General Matsumoto Visits Senator Blackburn on October 28th

On Friday, October 28,Consul-General Matsumoto paid a courtesy call to U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn. Consul-General Matsumoto emphasized the importance of Japanese companies to Tennessee's economy, introduced the Senator to local activities promoting mutual cultural understanding, and requested her continued cooperation in further developing the good bilateral relationship between the U.S and Japan. Senator Blackburn welcomed Consul-General Matsumoto to Tennessee, noting Tennessee's long history with Japan, and pledged to continue cooperating with Japan to the utmost of her ability. The meeting also focused on attracting new Japanese companies to Tennessee.
