Consul-General Matsumoto Attends Q&B Foods Groundbreaking Ceremony

On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new Q&B Foods, Inc. plant in Clarksville, Tennessee, being constructed by Kewpie Corporation of America. The company’s $62 million investment will create 85 jobs. This facility, scheduled for operation in May 2025, will be Q&B Foods’ second U.S. facility. 

Attendees included Tennessee Economic & Community Development Commissioner Stuart McWhorter, Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden, Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts, Kewpie Corporation Chairman Shu Nakajima, Shimizu America President Takuya Ito, and many others. At the groundbreaking ceremony, local guests welcomed Kewpie to the community and speakers highlighted Kewpie's long history while sharing their excitement about working with the internationally-recognized company.
