Consul-General Kobayashi visited Tennessee Governor-Elect Bill Lee on January 10th to discuss current economic ties and the friendship between Japan and Tennessee. During their meeting, Consul-General Kobayashi congratulated Governor-Elect Lee on his election and asked for his cooperation to further enhance Japan-Tennessee relations, including support for Japanese residents, Japanese companies, and cultural events. Governor Lee welcomed Consul-General Kobayashi and said that he is committed to doing his best for the bilateral relationship, expressing his recognition that Japanese companies play an important role among foreign investors in Tennessee.
