【Cultural Event】The Eleventh Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival (April 13th)

2019/4/18
On the 13th of April, the 2019 Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival was hosted by the Japan America Society of Tennessee (JAST), the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson Country, and our Consulate office. The day was filled with many traditional and contemporary Japanese cultural events and activities. Consul-General Kobayashi and Nashville Mayor David Briley led a morning Sakura Walk and then later addressed the festival goers onstage with a few remarks.
Our office provided booths with many different materials for guests to take, along with the opportunity to try on yukata and experience some traditional Japanese toys. Finally, our Information and Culture division provided a Guest Lecture series covering many topics in regards to Japan. We appreciate the festival's contribution to the Japan-Nashville, Japan-Tennessee and Japan-U.S. relationships, and look forward to co-organizing the festival in the years to come.
