Consul-General Kato Participated in the local exchange meeting in Bowling Green, KY (June 20)

６月２０日（金）、加藤総領事はケンタッキー州ボーリンググリーン市にて企業活動をされている日系企業十数社からなる組織である緑会の総会に出席しました。
同会の会合は定期的に行なわれており、今回、同会合において米国経済の現状と動向、とりわけ自動車市場の動向、TPP交渉等の状況、ボーリンググリーン地域における治安と防犯について、スライドを使用して講義を行ないました。
また、課題となっている今後の労働力の確保について、同会と当館で協力しつつ対応していくことが話し合われました。
Consul-General Kato attended a meeting of MIDORIKAI, an organization consisting of a dozen Japanese companies doing business activities in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on June 20th.
Meetings of this association are carried out on a regular basis. Topics such as trends and the current state of the U.S economy, especially in the automotive market, the status of the TPP negotiations, crime prevention and security issues in the Bowling Green area were covered at this meeting. In addition, MIDORIKAI and the Consulate agreed to continue working with each other to solve the on-going issues regarding securing the labor force.
