１２月５日（金）、加藤総領事はテネシー州マーフリースボロー市にあるラザフォード郡商工会議所において行なわれた、M-TEK社（河西工業）の本社移転及び新本社ビル建設に係る記念式典に出席しました。本式典は、同社の本社ビル建設のため、同市からの土地譲渡の調印式の場として行なわれました。

 

当日は、バージェス同郡長、マクファーランド同市長、ボーデン州経済開発長補佐官、レイチャー同郡商工会会頭、渡邊本社会長、杉沢北米本社社長他、多数が出席し、新たな本社ビル建設について各祝辞が述べられました。 加藤総領事は、これまでの同社のテネシー州での活動に対し敬意を表するとともに、今後の新たなビジネスの発展を望む旨祝辞を述べました。

 

 

On December 5th, Consul-General Kato participated in a press conference at the Rutherford County Chamber, announcing construction of a new North American Headquarters building for M-TEK, Inc. M-TEK, a U.S. subsidiary of Kasai Kogyo Co., Ltd., will transfer their headquarters functions from their existing production facility in Manchester, along with additional jobs from other locations, to a new building to be built in Murfreesboro. The Murfreesboro City Council is donating the land for the project. The announcement was also joined by Mayor Burgess of Rutherford County, Mayor McFarland of Murfreesboro, Mr. Borden of the TN Department of Economic & Community Development, Chairman Watanabe of Kasai Kogyo, and Mr. Sugisawa, President and CEO of M-TEK, Inc., as well as many other local supporters.

 

Consul-General Kato thanked all of the parties, and praised M-TEK’s achievements in Tennessee, wishing the project great success.
