		加藤総領事とハズラム知事

 

８月１２日（水）、加藤総領事はテネシー州ジャクソン市にて開催された太平洋工業株式会社の現地工場開所記念式に出席しました。当日は、ハズラム・テネシー州知事他州政府関係者、ハリス・マディソン郡長、ジスト・ジャクソン市長他地元行政関係者、地元選出州議会議員、関係日系企業関係者等、多数の参加者が同地に集い新たな門出を祝いました。 加藤総領事は知事等とともにスピーチを行い、日本とテネシーの良好な関係は少なくとも1970年代から続いており、今後末永く当地での成功をお祈りする旨述べました。

On August 12th, Consul-General Kato participated in a groundbreaking ceremony for a new local plant being built in Jackson, TN by Pacific Industrial Co., Ltd. Mr. Shinya Ogawa, President of Pacific Industrial, and Mr. Hisaichi Seko, President of the soon-to-be-built Pacific Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc., were welcomed by numerous state and local officials. Among the welcoming crowd were Gov. Haslam, Madison County Mayor Harris, Jackson Mayor Gist and many others. Consul-General Kato expressed his appreciation to Governor Haslam and all of the members of Team Madison County for their efforts to support the new project. Consul-General Kato then noted that Governor Haslam’s administration is “carrying on a tradition of support and friendship that extends back through every administration, to at least the 1970s and the days of former Governor, now Senator, Lamar Alexander.” He also offered his “…personal congratulations and best wishes for a successful and prosperous future.”
